Blue Ridge Exteriors was formed by Matt Neely and Paul Rzasa and specializes in the design and installation of fiber cement siding for residential projects. While working for the manufacturer James Hardie®, Paul found it next to impossible to get local home improvement companies to offer HardiePlank™ to homeowners. It was just too easy to sell vinyl. HardiePlank™, an option that Builder Magazine voted “one of the 20 most innovative products introduced in the last two decades” wasn’t being offered in Central Virginia to protect the over inflated “value” of vinyl siding.
Matt had been in the home improvement industry for over a decade, as a sales rep and as Vice President of one of the countries largest home improvement companies. But every company did business the same way. Gather lots of leads and issue them to commissioned sales reps that were trained in following a sales system. They may have been selling cars or vacuum cleaners last week. They were trained on what to say and when to say it to sell vinyl siding and replacement windows. He was tired of the profit only mentality and was looking for something different.

Our vision was to create a company offering superior products, honest salesmanship, and highly skilled installation. To achieve these goals, we formed our own company and we have raised the standards of exterior remodeling in Central Virginia.
We specialize in residential re-siding with James Hardie® HardiePlank™ siding, quality low maintenance trim components, and energy efficient replacement windows. We have had the same trained James Hardie® HardiePlank™ installers since our inception so you, the customer, don’t have to worry who will be installing your siding. Personally seeing the project through from start to finish distinguishes us from the big vinyl siding companies or companies that specialize in large commercial and new construction projects who often bring in out of town labor.
